Are you Offended or Affected by the Gospel?

Tommy Dyer

We have a commission to go into the world to preach and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Not picking and choosing who we witness to. Get your personal feelings out of the way. Everyone responds or reacts to the Word of God differently. No is an acceptable answer for those who are offended. Learn to deal with rejection and move on. There will be a time to follow up. Complaining about the lack of opportunity is not an option. Preparation is the key to successful work. Study to show yourself approved. Sin is the driving force of failure. Active sin will take you further than you want to go, keep you longer than you want to stay, and cost you more than you want to pay. It's hard to convince people when we say one thing and do another. The Bible is clear about the future of the unbeliever. Revelation 21:8, "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whore-mongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."

We must always have hope. God has prepared a place for those who believe in His Word and love Him.

With the aid of the Holy Spirit, we can overcome obstacles that hinder our work. Trusting God is the first step.
