The bible is very firm about teaching children and on how to raise them in the right way. If you don't talk to your children about life, someone else will. And subjects do matter, when you can't talk to your child about sex and drugs; someone else will. But they are not going to tell them about the danger and damage that drugs will do to the body. If you think that kids are not interested in what adults do, you are wrong. Sex, alcohol, and drugs is the message of the world today. When a young lady does not understand the importance of "decision making" she can be mislead. She must be taught that Self-Worth is greater than Net-Worth. Self respect is to be desired more than gold and silver. There are many predators that seek your child's soul and they are everywhere. When you teach a child not to accept candy from a stranger or don't get in the car with them, that's not enough. Children need to understand, MOTIVE and TACTIC that people use for selfish reasons. When they are approached, they can recognize the danger and escape. The internet is a playground for predators and your child is in danger, when you do not monitor them. Chatting with a stranger on line is not good. The smooth talk and lies are enticing to young people. Some of the biggest bullies are sweet talkers, until you see their dark side. Kids should know that everybody that seem to be nice, is not nice. Even when offered a beer; if they know the danger, they will refuse it. Alcohol produces a spirit of pride and conceit. There is no warning about the disease of addiction and the destruction of the MIND, BODY and SOUL. The influence of sex and drugs are everywhere. Why do people want to do drugs? It's simple, they want to change how they feel. Drugs are not always the answer to a problem. B.C. powder will help a head-ache, but cocaine is a reservation for jail or the graveyard. You must teach your children that bad decisions, have serious consequences. But there is victory in the right CHOICES. Teach them how to pray and have faith in God. You must pray for them INTENSELY, INTENTIONLY, and PRECISELY. In the bible (KJV), Proverbs 13:24, "He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chastenenth him betimes." It's okay to discipline your children, you don't have to beat them for them to learn right from wrong. A little love and understanding will go a long way. But sometimes they need more influence!!! Do you know what I mean to say? You must get your point across. Save your children from the evil predators...
