No matter who you are, everyone needs God's blessings in their life. You may claim to be self-made and you might be your own man, but everyone calls on God at one time or another. All of the money that you have came by divine appointment. God holds you responsible for what He has blessed you with. You are just a steward in charge of what God has blessed you to receive. No matter how much money you receive, when you die, you can't take it with you. You can spend a lifetime building that big house on a hill and someone can come along with one match, in one day and burn it down. These are the material things and they are perishable; set your sight and desires on spiritual blessings. The greatest blessing you can ever receive is God's Gift of Salvation through Jesus Christ the Lord. As we live in this world, we must prepare ourselves to receive our blessing in Christ. Preparation is made by accepting Christ into your life by FAITH. When you accept Christ as Lord and Savior, God will do for you what you can not do for yourself. You can't fool God, because God knows your heart. If you want God to do something, you must be willing to do something. Your faith must have some work (action) to get some results. Faith is action for the things hoped for and evidence of things that are not seen. You must acknowledge God for who He is and trust Him with all of your heart. You must prepare to approach God. You can come to God at any time, but you can't approach Him in any kind of way. You must come to the throne of grace in humble submission in the Name of Jesus. After faith comes CONFESSION of your sins. Most folks will not admit that they are sinners, because they feel like they have been pretty good. If you don't admit that you are a sinner and confess that you are saved by grace, you will die in your sins. We deceive ourselves when we fail to be OBEDIENT to the Word of God and we think that God is going to bless us any way. We must have a desire to walk with God, and to talk with God. God does not fellowship with sin. When we are born again, we become spiritual. Then we can start our walk with God, it's a SPIRITUAL WALK. You do not need legs to walk with God, the walk must be in your heart by faith. Don't let your foolish pride and your love for this world hinder your fellowship with God.
In the bible, the disciples were walking with Jesus (God) when He came to a fig tree which had leaves and no fruit. Jesus said to the tree, "No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever." The disciples heard Him say it. On the next day Peter saw the tree dried up from the roots, and said to Jesus. "Look at the tree that thou cursed, it is withered away." In the bible (KJV) St.Mark 11:22-23, And Jesus answering saith unto them, "Have faith in God. For I say unto you, That whosoever shall say to this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith." Jesus was teaching His disciples that all things were possible with God. And that FAITH is the Key to receiving all blessing that come from God. Sin will hinder your blessings, confess your sin and forsake your sin and receive God's BLESSINGS...
